Dry Stone Walling Workshop - Sat. Oct. 10th, 2026 - Site One Plymouth - 8:30a - 12:30p
Join architect and assoc. professor Andrew Blaisdell for a morning of hands-on learning at SiteOne Plymouth. Participants will build a small wall on site to learn the fundamentals of ancient dry stone walling.
Sometimes called Scottish sheep fencing, this particular method of non-mortared masonry creates walls that stand the test of time, with examples in Europe 500 years old. When built correctly, the result is a sturdy wall that lasts, and the act of building it a meditation.
Andrew will also go over the basics of retaining wall construction, for which dry stone walling can be used.
Eye and ear protection as well as gardening gloves provided, and the few tools needed will be available.
All profits to benefit the Golden Valley Garden Club.
Saturday, October 10th from 8:30a to 12:30p at SiteOne Landscape Supply in Plymouth, MN.
